Applicants should send an application form (downloadable
from website) along with copies of academic
documents (if any academic documents are not
in English official translations should accompany
copies of originals), passport copy, two photographs,
2 references (from teachers and employers) and
proof of English abilities. This can be sent
via email initially, to assess whether you are
eligible.
It is necessary for all students to be proficient
in English. If students have not taken part
in IELTS or TOEFL and are from a non English
speaking country, we must insist upon English
testing, there may be alternatives and these
will be discussed on a case by case basis.
Recent changes in the visa rules demand that
all students must have attained a minimum English
level of A2 of the common European framework
if they are coming for a pre-sessional course
as a student to the UK and for other programmes
it must be B1. A description of an A2 and B1
student is given below:

After we have received a copy of your application
we will be able to confirm whether you are eligible.
The application is examined by the admissions
board, interviews may be conducted and if the
applicant is eligible for entry onto desired
course an offer letter is sent, or an alternative
course is suggested. Offer letters are normally
sent by email with CONFIRMED acceptance
letters by post.
The offer letter will simply state that to accept
the offer you must pay the full first year tuition
fee and we must INSIST UPON you sending
your ORIGINAL ACADEMIC documents by
courier.
3.
If
applicants decide to accept the offer they are
required to send the deposit as requested on
the offer letter which is normally the first
years fee in full, paying the full fee is preferable
at all times as it supports your financial payment

statement
and demonstrates your intentions as
a serious student. When sending deposit
please
always
quote your student reference number.
On sending payment we suggest you send
an email confirming payment has been
made and ideally attach copy of payment
receipt, this assists us to locate your
payment and issue acceptance letters
faster. Simultaneously please send us
your original academic documents as
listed on the offer letter. These are
required as part of our admission policy.
4.
On receipt of the deposit and the original
academic documents the Academy will
book a place on your chosen course and
send an acceptance pack to applicants
by courier and return your original
qualifications and issue a CAS number,
which is required for visa applications.
These letters can be used to apply for
a visa for the UK. We recommend students
apply for courses at least two months
before the course start date to be confident
of securing a place at the Academy and
getting a visa to start their studies
in the UK.
Current visa rules allow a student considering
making an application for a student
visa to check whether they have sufficient
points to obtain a visa. Students are
required to accumulate 40 points of
which 30 points is given for the Academyletter
and 10 points for the students finances.
New rules as of 31/03/09 require students
to have finances in their personal bank
account or in their parents bank statement
and not financial sponsors account.
You must have a minimum of 9 months
living expenses for your stay in the
UK which is calculated as £600
per month x 9 months= £5400 for
those whose Academy is outside of inner
London. If this money is in your account
at least one month before you apply
for a visa and your documentation is
genuine and not less than one month
old you are guaranteed a visa for the
UK. The current method is a much simpler
visa process compared to previously
where students were being refused for
a variety of reasons which were often
viewed as discriminatory. The visa officers
will now only check that your documents
are original and genuine. The academic
institute that you study at will be
responsible for assessing your intention
and commitment to the course you intend
to study. |
