BSc (Honours) Business Administration  

The BSc (Honours) Business Administration covers the scope of international business thus providing successful graduates with the knowledge and understanding required at various levels in an international business working environment. The required skills to effectively research, analyse and manage business relationships or to develop further through postgraduate study are also covered.

The programme is specifically designed to improve and develop strategic management skills necessary in today’s fast moving business environment. It will benefit those seeking to secure senior management positions by embracing the skills necessary for an organizations growth, survival and financial status where they face an ever changing economy, political changes, social challenges and an ever growing, changeable competitive market place.

Level of Qualification
All Bachelor programmes in the UK follow a system whereby on completion the student achieves a qualification at level 6 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).


Entry Requirements for year one
On entry a student must have at least one of the following:

 
At least one 'A' Level pass or an appropriate School Leaver's Certificate.
 
Vocational experience which is deemed suitable by NCC Education.
 
The NCC Education International Foundation Year (IFY) or International Certificate in Business (ICB ) or equivalent.
Applicants whose first language is not English will need: EITHER
 
The required minimum result in the NCC Education Higher English Placement Test (HEPT), OR
 
IELTS 5.0 or equivalent

Programme Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the programme you should be able to demonstrate:
 
Knowledge and understanding in areas including markets and customers, finance, human issues, operational issues, the use of ICT and the development of policy and strategy.
 
Relevant skills appropriate to the business domain such as critical thinking, analysis, evaluation and synthesis.
 
Subject-specific practical and professional skills including the application of knowledge and understanding in contemporary issues in business such as change management, global business strategies, and markets and the ability to research business and management issues.
 
Transferable skills in areas such as problem-solving, communication, quantitative skills, interpersonal skills and research skills.

  Programme Structure
The programme is taught over three academic years consisting of two teaching semesters plus revision time each year. Students will study four modules in each semester.
