This
programme incorporates the best in computing,
communication and business skills to create
well rounded IT professionals, making graduates
attractive to employers.
The programme provides a strong foundation in
the theory and practice of computer studies
particularly software development and production
of quality computer programmes as well as other
related ICT fields. The qualification is relevant
to industry and can lead the way to a diverse
range of employment in computing, multimedia,
manufacturing, data administration, systems
and network administration, software engineering
and other IT-based industries.
Level
of Qualification
This qualification is at level 4 of the National
Qualifications Framework. It is also the first
stage of a Bachelor’s degree in Business.

On entry a student must have at least one of

Successful
graduates of the International Diploma
in Computer Studies are eligible to
apply for the International Advanced
Diploma in Business. Alternatively students
are eligible to apply to enrol at one
of the many universities who have granted
articulation onto their degree programmes
with exemption from the first year.
Diploma graduates can enter employment
with enhanced skills and greater employability
in roles such as IT Network Support
engineers, Trainee Programmers and Website
Developers. |
