This
qualification is equivalent to the second year
of a Bachelors degree, suitable for those with
previous IT experience; the International Advanced
Diploma has a strong professional element, focusing
on analytical and business skills. It provides
sufficient training in programming to make possible
the effective writing and documentation of a
suite of programmes in an appropriate programming
language.This programme also provides students
with the skills needed to work as a programmer,
systems analyst, network administrator, or web
developer.
Level
of Qualification
This qualification is at level 5 of the National
Qualifications Framework. It is also the second
stage of a Bachelors degree in Computer related
subjects.
Entry Requirements
On entry a student must have at least one of
the following:

NCC Education International Diploma
in Business (IDB) qualification. |

A
local or international qualification which
is deemed to be of a similar level to
the IDCS programme. |
Applicants
who are not NCC Education graduates and whose
first language is not English will need: EITHER

Successful graduates of the International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies can apply to enrol on the BSc (Hons) in Business Computing and Information Systems, delivered online by NCC Education, validated and awarded by the University of Wales at an NCC Education accredited centre. Alternatively students are eligible to apply to enrol for further study at any number of UK Universities and can gain exemptions to the final year of various degree titles.
Students with extensive skills and experience
in the IT field, along with knowledge
in systems analysis, development and
management principles, can look forward
to possible careers as Systems Analysts
