Level
of Qualification
This qualification is in two parts. Both the
PgD and the Masters is at level 7 of the National
Qualifications Framework. The PgD Strategic
Business IT is the taught part of the programme
and the Masters is the research part.
Entry Requirements
On
entry a student must have at least one of the
following:
Route 1 (Academic - IT Graduates)

UK
bachelor's degree with honours (or equivalent)
in Information Technology, Computer
Science or related subject. |
Route
1a (Academic - IT graduates with non-honours
degrees)

IT graduates who hold a bachelor's ordinary
or pass-level degree (or equivalent)
in Information Technology or related
subject with exceptionally high marks
may be considered for admission, at
the discretion of NCC Education. |
Route
2 (Mixed - other graduates)

UK
bachelor's degree with honours in a
non-IT related subject (or equivalent)

Three
years' work experience in an IT environment. |

3 (Vocational - IT professionals, mostly part-time)

The ability to demonstrate suitability
for academic study, via personal or telephone
interview with the programme co-ordinator
at the student's Accredited partner Centre. |
Applicants

Programme Structure
The
programme is taught over 18 Months to 24 months.
The PgD portion consists of two semesters of
full time study plus revision time which takes
one year. Students will study a minimum of two
modules in each semester. On successful completion
of the PgD students can obtain the Masters by undertaking
two further modules. This part normally takes
between 6 months to 12 months to complete.
