Level of Qualification
This is a programme designed for those at Level A2 of the Common European Framework or those currently holding IELTS level 3.0 to 4.0

Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required just evidence that some English has been undertaken previously and the level is elementary and not beginners (Level A2 of the common European Framework). A test will be taken during enrolment to assess and reconfirm your level of English.

Programme Structure
The programme is taught over 6 months to 1 year, consisting of two semesters. On completion students are advised to take an internationally recognised test to prove their level of English independently.

Programme Content
The teaching incorporates reading, writing, speaking and listening at Elementary level with the intention to increase student level to Intermediate and beyond.

Awarding Body

There is no award given by London Academy of Management Sciences, instead we encourage all students to consolidate their learning by taking either an IELTS or ESOL qualification. We prefer the IELTS qualification over ESOL because it has an academic element and unlike the KET, PET, CAE system where you cannot achieve higher marks unless you register on a higher paper, the IELTS system allows candidates to register for the same examination but depending on how well you score you will be given an appropriate grading.

Assessment

The programme is assessed by a reading, writing, listening and speaking test.
